Puzzle Animals and Their Unlock Conditions

Checked

Most animals in Find The Animals [280] rest in plain sight or require basic climbing. A distinct subset cannot be touched until you fulfill an interactive map condition. These puzzle animals require keypad inputs, click sequences, item feedings, cannon shots, cooperative pressure plates, or small morphs.

To see which region holds each target, visit /biomes. For troubleshooting missing entries, check /guides/last-animals.

What counts as a puzzle animal

In this guide, a puzzle animal is any entry locked behind an interactive world mechanic. Simply walking up to its container or room will not register the animal. You must enter a code, complete repeated interaction clicks, deliver collected items, land projectile shots, step on dual pressure plates, or squeeze through size gates.

The [240] record documents nine explicit puzzle mechanics across the game world.

The full condition table

The nine confirmed puzzle animals, their home biomes, and their exact activation requirements are listed below:

Animal Biome Condition Mechanic Type
Pegasus (Mythic) Treehouse Enter 5684 into the Sky Stable keypad Keypad code
Feathered Serpent Treehouse (Grass in Yuly) Click chest 40 times Click sequence
Bison Farm Feed 10 garden tomatoes Item feeding
Galaxy Dragon Farm Click mushroom 30 times Click sequence
Crystal Dragon Snow Click chest 50 times Click sequence
Walrus Snow Hit 4 ship targets using the cannon Target shooting
Minotaur (Legendary) Snow (Farm in Yuly) Stand on 2 Friends pressure plates with 2 players Cooperative plate
Basilisk Sand Click chest 25 times in golden tomb Click sequence
Camel Sand Feed 6 cactus flowers Item feeding

(Note: Regional assignments for Feathered Serpent and Minotaur vary slightly between AllThingsHow and YulyOnRoblox source records, but unlock conditions remain identical.)

Keypads and wall codes

Pegasus is the only confirmed number-pad code lock in the game:

  • Location: Sky Stable in the Treehouse biome.
  • Code: 5684
  • Where to find it: The code is written directly on the wall along the trunk staircase leading upward.
  • How to execute: Approach the keypad mounted beside the stable door, input 5684, and confirm. The doorway opens to reveal Pegasus.

The code is permanently painted on the tree trunk environment.

Click chests and quest counters

Several creatures are sealed inside containers or objects requiring repeated click interactions:

  • Basilisk (Sand): In the golden tomb, click the sealed chest exactly 25 times.
  • Galaxy Dragon (Farm): Locate the mushroom object in Farm and click it 30 times.
  • Feathered Serpent (Treehouse / Grass): Locate the sealed chest structure and click it 40 times.
  • Crystal Dragon (Snow): Locate the frozen chest in Snow and click it 50 times to claim Crystal Dragon.

Interaction counters remain active while you stand beside the target object.

Cannon, plates and feeding

Other interactive animals require environmental manipulation, cooperative play, or item collection:

  • Walrus (Snow): Aim the snowfield cannon and land direct hits on all 4 target markers across the pirate ship.
  • Minotaur (Snow / Farm): Locate the dual floor pads labeled 2 Friends. Two distinct players must stand on both pads simultaneously to lower the barrier. You cannot trigger both pads alone.
  • Bison (Farm): Gather 10 garden tomatoes across the farm grounds and deliver them to Bison.
  • Camel (Sand): Gather 6 cactus flowers across the desert dunes and feed them to Camel.

Size gates

Size gates are narrow passageways blocked by iron bars labeled Smaller Animal Required!. Standard avatars and large morphs collide with the bars:

  • Mandrill (Grass): Positioned behind cage bars. Morph into mouse (found at the Grass pond) to walk through the grates.
  • Cerberus (Snow): Trapped in a submerged underwater cage. Equip a small aquatic morph to swim through the narrow entrance bars.

Equipping a compact morph bypasses the restriction immediately without searching for keys.

The key question

A common search query among players is: "Where is the key?"

In this review round, we have not confirmed the existence of any key item, key mechanic, or key coordinates in Find The Animals [280]. The only confirmed access and opening methods in the game are:

  1. Keypads (entering code 5684 at the Sky Stable).
  2. Two-player pressure plates (2 Friends).
  3. Size gates requiring small morphs (marked Smaller Animal Required!).
  4. Quest counters (click sequences like the 25, 30, 40, and 50-click objects, and item feeding tasks).

Queries referencing keys or jungle buttons often stem from the older game with the same name (Find The Animals 103 by FTA Community). In this 280 build, rely on the four confirmed opening mechanics above rather than searching for key items.
