When you load into the experience for the first time, your screen displays an empty Index and a counter reading Found: 0/.... You do not yet have access to high jumps, small hitboxes, or the merge system.
- Read this when: You have just joined the game, your counter is under 20, or you keep running past animals without understanding how the collection popup and morph buttons work.
- Guide to open: /guides/how-to-play
- What it covers: The four-step exploration cycle (spot, touch, collect, morph), how to read the three-line popup, how to use early ground finds in Grass to secure your first small morph, and what complex mechanics you should ignore during your opening run.
- When to stop reading: As soon as you hit 30 to 40 animals and begin encountering physical barricades, locked doors, or interactive objects you cannot walk through.
Hard unlocks
Once you push past open fields, you will run into locked structures, number keypads, repeating chests, and barricades labeled Smaller Animal Required!. Walking into these objects will not register an animal. They require deliberate puzzle solutions or specific morph shapes.
- Read this when: You encounter a door asking for a four-digit code, a chest that does not open on your first click, an animal asking to be fed, a cannon pointing at target ships, or a set of floor plates labeled
2 Friends. - Guide to open: /guides/puzzles-and-chests
- What it covers: The nine confirmed puzzle conditions from the [240] record. This includes the Sky Stable 5684 keypad code, click chest counts (25, 40, and 50 clicks), feeding requirements (10 tomatoes for Bison, 6 cactus flowers for Camel), the 4-target cannon shot for Walrus, the two-player pressure plate for Minotaur, and size gates like Mandrill and Cerberus.
- Why this matters: It clarifies that this game features no inventory key items. Searching for physical keys or jungle buttons comes from another game with the same name.
- When to stop reading: Once you have cleared the interactive map puzzles and your counter approaches the merge and vault thresholds.
Finishing your collection
The final stretch of the game is where progress slows down. You can no longer stumble across uncollected animals on main roads. Your remaining targets are hidden behind narrow Index clues, multi-step merge combinations, or late-game milestone systems.
- Read this when: Your counter stalls above 200, you have swept every biome on foot, or you see grayed-out silhouette entries in your Index that you cannot locate.
- Guides to open:
- /merges: Consult this as soon as your total reaches 70 finds to combine parent animals into 13 confirmed hybrid outputs like Megalodon and Blaze Cheetah.
- /guides/rebirth: Consult this when your progression bar nears capacity to understand the Chinese Dragon unlock and what the sources confirm about rebirth resets.
- /guides/last-animals: Consult this when you have only a few animals left. It provides a five-step diagnostic checklist to determine whether your missing target is an incomplete puzzle, an unmade merge, a vault reward, a size gate, or a polluted search result from the older game.
- What to remember: In the [240] record, a full sweep of all biomes, merges, and the Biome Vault reached roughly 232/240 before relying heavily on single Index hints. Treat the final dozen animals as methodical deductions rather than random searching.
